Bayern Munich have dominated the opening half against Bodø/Glimt but were unable to find a way through, with the Norwegian side defending in disciplined fashion to reach the interval at 0-0.
Vincent Kompany’s team created several opportunities. Luis Diaz tested Haikin with a reflex save from a header in the fifth minute, before Kimmich struck the post with a powerful effort 35 minutes into the match.
Bayern have had 75% possession, but Bodø/Glimt have continued to withstand the pressure. Haikin produced another important stop to deny Musiala in the 40th minute, then kept out Kimmich three minutes later.
The goalkeeper’s performance has been central to Bodø/Glimt’s resistance, while the visitors have gradually grown in confidence. They have also managed to disrupt Bayern’s short-passing game and will be satisfied with the scoreline at the break.
Bayern must now find a solution after half-time if they are to turn their control and chances into goals.
