The UEFA Champions League match day 5 came on board on Tuesday and some Nigerian players had a fairly good outing on the night, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

AC Milan triumphed over Slovan Bratislava 2-3 away from home and Samuel Chukwueze was in full action in Milan's third consecutive win.

Christian Puliši? put Milan before the hosts levelled scores. Rafael Leão restored the lead before Tammy Abraham capitalised. Substitute Nino Marcelli gave the hosts late hope with a fierce strike, but those hopes were dented when Marko Toli? was then dismissed.

At the Stadion Wankdorf, Ademola Lookman was left on the bench for 90 minutes in Atalanta’s 6-1 rout of Young Boys.

Doubles from Charles De Ketelaere and Mateo Retegui and a goal each by Sead Kolasinac and Lazar Samardži? completed the rout.

Super Eagles midfielder, Nathan Tella played for as Bayer Leverkusen thumped Salzburg 5-0 on Tuesday night.

Florian Wirtz scored twice as Leverkusen while a goal by Alejandro Grimaldo, Patrik Schick and Aleix Garcia saw Leverkusen overpower Salzburg in Germany.
