Ubong Pledge Full Support For Maikaba

Akwa United striker, Ubong Friday has said his teammates will rally round the new head coach, Abdul Maikaba to achieve successes at the top-flight side.

Maikaba tinkered Wikki Tourists in the out gone 2015/16 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) season.

Friday said the side are enjoying new treatment as well as a refreshingly different style of training under the new manager, Maikaba.

“Everything is working out perfectly well under the new head coach, Abdul Maikaba.

“I believe everybody is enjoying his new style of doing things as he tries to carry everyone along.

“I’m certain he will bring out the best in each of us which will go a long way to make our task easy in the upcoming top-flight.

“We have vowed to make him proud by rallying round him and to ensure he achieves landmark successes during his tenure.

“We are happy to have him as our coach and together we will certainly win titles in the upcoming football season,” said Friday to supersport.com.

The Promise Keepers have been engaged in rigorous pre-season programmes for the past weeks and will shortly head to neighbouring town, Calabar for closed camping.
