Nigeria U-17 women's national team wrapped up the group stage of the FIFA U-17 World Cup with another win against hosts, Dominican Republic on Tuesday night, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports

The Flamingos had to battle hard for the win, with Shakirat Moshood's long-range strike, in the 88th minute, making the difference.

In what was a dominating first half,  Shakirat Moshood's strike was ruled out for offside after a VAR review in the 15th minute.

In the 28th minute, Captain Taiwo Afolabi fired from a distance to force a save from the Dominican keeper.

With 10 minutes to the end of the first 45, Flamingos almost paid dearly for their defensive mix-up.

The half remained goalless despite 16 attempts by the Nigerian side who desperately sought the opener.

With more chances created in the second half, the goals failed to come. Taiwo Adegoke even missed a sitter in the 74th minute of the encounter.

With a minute left, Shakirat Moshood finally broke the deadlock from a long distance with her fourth of the tournament.

That goal sealed the win, keeping the Flamingo's perfect record intact after the final whistle at the Felix Sanchez Stadium.
