U-17 WOMEN’S WORLD CUP: NIKYU FACES UPHILL TASK

Nigeria U-17 Women’s national team, Flamingos, have failed to advance beyond the quarter finals of the World Cup after four attempts and have booked a place for a fifth appearance at the Competition to be hosted by Jordan in September.

Thus the pressure for current Head Coach, Bala Nikyu to excel is mounting and despite expressing confidence in abilities of the coaching crew, former handler of the team, Adat Egan has suggested good preparation and objective assessment of the players for the Flamingos to go beyond the second round of the 16-nation tournament.

Nigeria are housed in group C, where the team will face Brazil, England and Korea DPR.
