Full-back for Chelsea Emerson Palmieri has signed a loan deal with Ligue 1 club Lyon.
Emerson, who joined Chelsea from Roma in 2018, has battled for consistent minutes at Stamford Bridge, and the club has decided to loan him away.
Lyon has signed the Italy international for the 2021-22 season for a fee of €500,000, to which could be added a maximum of €500,000 in bonuses, with the option to buy him outright next summer.
After Fabio Grosso (2007-2009) and Mattia de Sciglio last season, Emerson will be the club's third player, defender, and Italian international.
