David Luiz has not yet made a decision about his future employer. Concerning the latest rumors about himself, the Brazilian central defender wrote in an Instagram post: "Every day a new fake news, every day a new liar".

Most recently, Luiz, whose contract with Arsenal FC was not renewed, was linked to US Salernitana and Adana Demirspor by foreign media.

However, neither the Italian nor the Turkish club seem to be an issue for the 34-year-old. As before, reports Transfermarkt expert Fabrizio Romano, Luiz is waiting for the right offer. Possible stations could be clubs in his home country of Brazil or Portugal.

David Luiz began his career with Vitoria and afterwards went to Benfica, where he spent five seasons (three complete). He joined Chelsea in January 2011, and during the 2011–12 season, he won the UEFA Champions League. He won the UEFA Europa League the next season.

He moved to Paris Saint-Germain for £50 million in June 2014, a world record deal for a defender at the time, and won all four domestic competitions in his two seasons in France. In August 2016, he returned to Chelsea in a £30 million transfer move. In 2019, he moved to Arsenal.
