Transfer: Peter Croonen bullish on Tolu Arokodare's valuation

For some top Nigerian players, it's certain that they would be moving on from their current club this summer and as such, their valuation remains a bone of contention among competitors. Tolu Arokodare is a highly sought after forward, with that in mind, KRC Genk chairman Peter Croonen has revealed that his potential transfer will earn the club a lot of money, much-more than the sale of his fellow country man Paul Onuachu, Nigeriasoccernet.com writes.

The Limburger chief made this known via TVL Sportcafé where he appeared as a guest to discuss the club summer transfer plans and expectations for the new season.

"A sum like with Onuachu? Let me say that I don't want to say much about that, but we want much more," laughed Croonen. At Genk, a departure of the striker is inevitable. The club has to sell players. There is always pressure to sell, in every football club that wants to function autonomously," he says.

"With a European ticket there is more leeway, but of course we have our own reserves. That way we can decide for ourselves when to sell", Croonen concludes.

A top transfer abroad beckons for the Nigerian, Onachu left Genk for around eighteen million euros but more is expected to sanction Tolu's exit.
