Former Super Eagles midfielder, Onazi Ogenyi, has announced the tragic loss of his sister-in-law, Ann, in a devastating car crash involving his brother, Oche Thompson, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
Onazi shared the heartbreaking news on Instagram, revealing that a truck driver without a proper driving license crashed into 10 vehicles, killing Ann instantly.
According to Onazi, his brother, Oche, survived the accident with several dislocated joints and is scheduled for surgery.
Onazi expressed his sadness and frustration, highlighting the alarming rate of reckless driving in Nigeria, particularly among truck and tanker drivers.
He appealed to the federal government and the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) to take urgent action to address the issue and prevent further loss of life.
