Tottenham have lost another central defender to injury after Micky van de Ven was unable to finish the Netherlands’ 2-1 Nations League victory over Serbia.
The 25-year-old defender was forced off during the fourth-round fixture, creating further concern for Tottenham manager Roberto De Zerbi before an important Premier League match.
According to TheSun, Tottenham’s defensive options were already weakened after Jan-Paul van Hecke sustained an injury and left the Netherlands squad early.
The latest setback comes with Tottenham bottom of the Premier League table after six rounds, having collected only two points.
They are due to face Manchester United on 10 October, with kick-off at 19:30 Moscow time.
