Tottenham Hotspur played out a 2-2 draw with bottom-placed Norwich in the Premier League on Saturday as the visitors twice came from behind to rescue a point at Carrow Road.

Jose Mourinho's side fell behind on 18 minutes when Mario Vrancic placed a shot past Paulo Gazzaniga, and the deficit was almost doubled shortly after the half-hour mark when Teemu Pukki netted for Norwich after he was played through by a long ball over the top.

A VAR check revealed the Finland international was marginally offside, however.

Spurs equalised in the 55th minute when Christian Eriksen sent a stunning free kick into the top corner of Tim Krul's net, and momentarily thought they had taken the lead just three minutes later, but Dele Alli's finish became the second of the day to be ruled out for offside.

Within minutes Spurs were behind again as Puuki's shot deflected off of Aurier and past Gazzaniga to leave the visitors chasing a result at Carrow Road.

The north London club had to wait until the 83rd minute to find their second equaliser, with Harry Kane being scythed down in the opposition box before tucking away his penalty on his 200th Premier League appearance.

The teams battled through seven nervy minutes of added time, but neither was able to secure a winner.

The result saw Norwich remain bottom of the table on 13 points, while Spurs moved up to fifth on 30 points -- two behind fourth-placed Chelsea, who have a game in hand.
