Mykhailo Mudryk has agreed to join Tottenham and wants to work again with head coach Roberto De Zerbi, according to insider Fabrizio Romano.
The 25-year-old Chelsea winger has put discussions with Leeds and other interested clubs on hold because his preference is to move to Tottenham. Negotiations between Chelsea and Tottenham are currently under way over a possible loan deal for the Ukraine international.
Mudryk is keen on a reunion with De Zerbi, who previously worked with him at Shakhtar. The pair are familiar with each other from their time at the Ukrainian club, and that relationship has influenced the player’s decision to prioritise Tottenham.
No agreement between the two clubs has been completed yet, with the talks focused on the structure and terms of a temporary transfer. However, Mudryk has made clear that Tottenham is his preferred destination.
The winger has been a Chelsea player since the beginning of 2023. His time at the club was interrupted by a suspension after he returned a positive doping test. He served the ban from December 2024 until July 2025.
Mudryk’s decision means Leeds and the other clubs who had been discussing a possible move are no longer his immediate focus. Instead, the player is waiting for Chelsea and Tottenham to reach an agreement that would allow him to work under De Zerbi once more.
The proposed switch would see Mudryk remain in the Premier League while changing clubs on a loan basis. Talks are continuing, and the move depends on the two London sides finalising the arrangement.
For now, Tottenham have emerged as the clear destination preferred by the Chelsea winger. His desire to reunite with De Zerbi has placed Spurs ahead of Leeds and the other clubs involved in discussions, although the transfer has not yet been completed.
