Tottenham Hotspur register keen interest in Boniface - Reports

Published on: 01 May 2025

English Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur is reportedly keen to bring Bayer Leverkusen forward Victor Boniface to the club next summer, with the German club willing to sanction his departure if a suitable offer arrives, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

Ange Postecoglou is keen on bolstering his attacking line despite sealing a club record transfer of Dominic Solanke, who joined from Bournemouth in the summer. They have identified the Nigerian international as their prime desired target to improve the attacking phase.

Reportedly, the German giants are open to parting ways with their striker should an offer in the vicinity of £43 million materialize in the upcoming months. This potential sale comes after the forward has struggled to replicate the stellar form that was instrumental in his current club's Bundesliga triumph last season, as per GMS.

Consequently, Tottenham Hotspur is now considering intensifying their pursuit of the player. Sources indicate that Spurs have been made aware of the striker's potential availability and, having previously identified him as a target less than a year ago, are growing increasingly optimistic that he will be permitted to seek a new opportunity, particularly if Bayer Leverkusen's head coach, Xabi Alonso, departs from his managerial position.
