Tottenham Hotspur have officially confirmed the signing of highly-rated young forward Elisha Sowunmi from West Ham United, bringing an end to the attacker’s ten-year association with the Hammers, NigeriaSoccernet.com reports.
The transfer was completed for an undisclosed fee, with Sowunmi making the switch to North London just six months after signing his first professional contract at West Ham.
A versatile attacker, Sowunmi is capable of operating out wide or in the number 10 role. He enjoyed an outstanding campaign with West Ham’s Under-18 side last season, finishing as their top scorer. His impressive goal tally included hat-tricks against Reading and Aston Villa, and he played a key role in the club’s triumph in the Under-18 Premier League Cup.
