"?Tottenham Hotspur have completed the signing of French international midfielder Moussa Sissoko from Newcastle United in a deal worth £30m, equalling the club record transfer when Erik Lamela arrived from Roma in 2013.

It is believed that Spurs will pay the fee in several instalments, with Sissoko having agreed a five-year contract to move to White Hart Lane and return to the Premier League from the second tier.
The transfer represents the highest fee ever paid for a player sold by a Championship club.

Sissoko was given permission to leave the France national team training base at Clairefontaine on Wednesday morning and Everton were also well in the race, having made their own £30m offer, until late in the day when it became clear the player would be joining Tottenham.
It has even been rumoured that the Toffees had a private jet ready to collect the player and had also made preparations for a medical before being forced to admit defeat.
Told Everton are raging about Sissoko saga. They had private jet landed and ready to take him to Liverpool but he didn't turn up.
Despite suffering relegation with Newcastle at the end of last season, Sissoko starred for France at Euro 2016. The midfield powerhouse didn't begin the tournament in the starting XI but worked his way into the side as the competition progressed and was arguably the best individual on the pitch in the final itself, even though Les Bleus ultimately lost.
Prior to that, he had starred, against Spurs no less, on the final day of the Premier League campaign in a 5-1 humiliation at St James' Park when the Magpies were already relegated.
