Tosin Adarabioyo yet to make decision on international future

English-born Nigerian defender, Tosin Adarabioyo, has revealed he is yet to decide which country he will play for, NigeriaSoccernet.com reports.

The Chelsea defender disclosed at the post-match conference after the Blues triumphed over Real Betis in the final of the Conference League following a question on his international future.

Tosin responded to the allegation of having turned down a call to the Super Eagles or accepted to play for Nigeria at any point.

“Both of those pieces of news were pretty false,” he said

“I’ve never turned down Nigeria, and I’ve never had any conversations with them to say that I will be going to Nigeria.”

The lanky defender who was named in the team of the season of the Conference League stated that at some point he needed to focus on club football with his last season in Fulham and first season with season at the time.

“At the point last season when there was a little bit of conversation, I told the club I needed to focus on my football,” he added.

“I just wanted to have a solid run at Fulham. And now I’m at Chelsea, it’s my first year, so I wanted to concentrate again.”

He concluded by stating that a decision on where his international allegiance lies will be made soon.

“I think now is going to be the time that I need to make a decision,” he said.

The 27-year-old has featured for England at the U-16, U-17, U-18, and U-19 levels, but he is still eligible to play for Nigeria.
