The return home to Belgium was not the best for Radja Nainggolan. The "ninja", in fact, was immediately stopped by police officers for driving under the influence of alcohol. The player's license was withdrawn for 15 days.
Speaking to the Belgian portal Het Laatste Nieuws, Nainggolan's lawyer, Omar Souidi, tried to justify what happened to the former Cagliari, stating how having found old friends led him to exaggerate a bit in drinking.
These are his words: “Radja is sorry. Very mortified for what happened. He let himself go to the emotions of the moment and nostalgia, surrounded by friends from the past and pushed him to drink more than he should. Evenings like this are lived more with the heart than with reason. But it was an exceptional case. It won't happen again ”.
