Speaking on NFF TV, Payne conveyed the team's preparedness following a day of rest and reflected on their recent victory, highlighting their bolstered morale and determination for improvement.
Acknowledging the challenges posed by hostile environments, Payne affirmed the team's resilience, stating, "I think it’s something to keep in mind obviously when you are away and when you have the crowd against you, it’s something difficult but we’ve come against the worst odds we are ready to battle them."
The Super Falcons are aiming for a first appearance in sixteen if they beat South Africa. They will join world champions Spain, Brazil and Japan in Group C in Paris.
