Nigerian forward Muhammad Tijani made a impressive start to life at Plymouth Argyle, scoring twice in the English Championship club's 5-1 thrashing of Cheltenham Town in their first pre-season game, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
Tijani, who joined Argyle on loan from Slavia Prague last month, netted in the 36th and 59th minutes as Wayne Rooney's side cruised to victory over the EFL League Two club.
The 24-year-old striker on the back of his performance expressed his determination to maintain his scoring form going into the new season, writing on social media: "Going into the season with the same hunger. A big thank you to our fans that came to Whaddon Road."
Tijani's brace will be a welcome sight for Argyle fans, who will be hoping the Nigerian can continue his impressive form in the upcoming season.
