Test Game: Nigeria, Algeria play stalemate

Nigeria's Super Eagles played a stalemate affair with Algeria's B team in Friday's test game in Constantine.

 

The two teams settled for a two all draw at the end of regulation time.

 

Alex Iwobi and Cyriel Dessers scored the two goals for the Super Eagles of Nigeria.

 

Coach Jose Peseiro started with Maduka Okoye, Ola Aina, William Ekong, Valentine Ozornwafor, Ebube Duru, Chidozie Awaziem, Frank Onyeka, Chidera Ejuke, Ralph Nwadike, Ademola Lookman, Taiwo Awoniyi against tue Algerian side who were preparing for the 2023 CHAN.

 

After a scoreless affair for over forty minutes, the home side got in front scoring the first goal through Karim Aribi in the 43rd

It was not until the 61st minutes that the Super Eagles equalized through Iwobi.

 

Dessers  scored the second goal for Nigeria while Aymen Mahious made it two for Algeria.

 

Nigeria versus the Algeria A team will play on Tuesday at Oran in another friendly match.
