Ghana star Andre Ayew is in France for specialist treatment on his niggling ankle sprain.

The 26-year-old will now see a doctors, while Swansea City caretaker boss Alan Curtis expressed sentiments from the club. “Andre turned his ankle last Saturday and he’s out in France to be assessed."

The Ghana international has scored eight goals for Swansea City this season. “I would not have thought so [that it was serious]. He’s probably going to be out for a couple of weeks,” Curtis told BBC Radio Wales.

With Ghana also having two games this month, the west Africans' vice skipper is likely to be out. Afcon 2017 qualifying sees the Black Stars play Mozambique home and away.
