The Nigeria Football Federation has made known that another preparatory tournament for the Super Falcons ahead of the FIFA Women's World Cup will hold in April, Nigeriasoccernet.com can report.
The Super Falcons are billed to kick start a four-nation tourney in Leon, Mexico from the 15th of February known as the Revelation Cup to prepare for the World Cup.
The Nigerian football is delighted with the development and expressed its happiness over it at its executive meeting on the Monday at the NFF Secretariat in Abuja.
"With commendations for world football -governing body, FIFA for its greater attention, interest and commitment of funds to women’s football, the Executive Committee expressed delight that Nigeria will be participating in the Four-Nation Revelation Cup Tournament holding in Leon, Mexico 15th -21st February 2023. It praised the wisdom behind getting the Super Falcons into the preparatory tourney ahead of the FIFA Women’s World Cup finals in Australia and New Zealand this summer, noting that the other three participating nations, viz Mexico, Costa Rica and Colombia are also World Cup-bound." Thereafter, it was made known that a tournament will take place in Turkey.
"It was also pleased that the Falcons will be participating in another preparatory tournament in Turkey in April."
