Nigeria bounced back from the 0-1 defeat they suffered in the hands of South Africa in their opening group game at the Africa Women Cup Of Nations by thrashing Zambia 4-0 in what was a dominant performance by the Nigerian team

Desire Oparanozie gave the Super Falcons a first half lead before Francisca Ordega added a second six minutes after the half hour mark with Zambia struggling to keep pace with the fluidity of the Nigerians in attack.

Fifteen minutes to the end of the game substitute Rasheedat Ajibade killed off any hope of a late fight back from Zambia with the third goal for the Nigerian team.

Another substitute Amarachi Okoronkwo compounded the woes of the Zambians with a fourth goal, which saw Nigeria rise to the top of the group with three points and a goal difference of +3, two more than South Africa who are going to be in action later against Equitorial Guinea who were beaten 4-0 by Zambia in their opening game
