Super Falcons gear up for Olympic Qualifier with boost in camp numbers

Fourteen Super Falcon players have assembled in the team's Abuja camp in preparation for the 2024 Olympic Games qualifier against South Africa's Banyana Banyana, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

Atletico Madrid winger Rasheedat Ajibade, Tochukwu Oluehi, and Jumoke Alani (Ashleigh Plumptre’s replacement) joined the camp. This trio was later announced to be joins by 11 other players on Tuesday.

Eight more players are anticipated to join the camp soon.

Among the new arrivals are goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie, experienced centre-back Osinachi Ohale, versatile midfielder Toni Payne, and Juventus star Jennifer Echegini.

The Super Falcons are set to commence their training session ahead of the first leg this evening.

Meanwhile African Female Football of the Year, Asisat is expected to join the later on Thursday.

The players currently in camp include Jiwuaku Linda, Okeke Chidinma, Oladipo Shukurat, Nnadozie Chiamaka, Ohale Osinachi, Toni Payne, Kanu Uchenna, Monday Gift, Abiodun Deborah, Echegini Jennifer, and Ucheibe Christy. Additionally, Rasheedat Ajibade, Tochukwu Oluehi, and Jumoke Alani are also present.
