Super Falcons Edge Cameroon On Spot Kicks To Progress To Final Of AWCON

Goalkeeper of the women national team of Nigeria Tochukwu Oluehi emerged as the hero for the Super Falcons by stopping two spot kicks during penalty shoot out as Nigeria progress to the final courtesy of a 4-2 win.

Both teams cancelled out each other in regulation time to leave scores at 0-0 and even 30 minutes of extra time couldn’t separate both team forcing the game into penalty kicks.

?Nigerian goalkeeper Tochukwu Oluehi saved the third spot kick from Cameroon and Asisat Oshoala converted superbly to give Nigeria the lead in the shoot out.

Oluehi produced a finger tip save to deny the next spot kick from the Cameroonians leaving Ngozi Ebere with the task of sealing Nigeria’s spot in the final and she dispatched her spot kick with precision to send the defending champions through to the final.

Nigeria will now face the winner of the second final match between South Africa and Mali , a game which has just started as at the time of filing in this report.
