Nigeria midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi has vowed that the Super Eagles will be seeking revenge when they face Benin Republic in a 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier next month, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The match, scheduled for September 7 at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo, comes after Benin's surprise 2-1 win over Nigeria in a 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier in May.

Ndidi, speaking in a video posted on the Super Eagles' social media account, promised a different outcome this time around, saying, "We know we haven't done as well as we wanted in the World Cup qualifiers, but we're ready to make things right in Uyo.

“They had their win in Abidjan, but we'll see what happens in Uyo. Don't worry; we're prepared."

The Super Eagles are determined to bounce back from their previous defeat and secure a crucial win in their AFCON qualifying campaign.

Nigeria, three days later play the Amavubi of Rwanda in Amahoro Stadium in Kigali.
