Former Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper Daniel Akpeyi has found a new Premier Soccer League club and signed with Swallows FC after their ban was lifted, Nigeriasoccernet.com has gathered.
Akpeyi who signed a 6-month contract with the club with an option to extend the deal by two years has been training with the club since he left Kaizer Chiefs, but had to wait till their transfer ban was lifted before making the move.
Akpeyi, 36, was among the players released by Chiefs at the end of last season. He was close to joining Sekhukhune United ahead of the 2022/23 campaign but his deal eventually fell through.
Swallows will be his third club in South Africa after he’s made 104 appearances for Chippa and 69 for Chiefs.
