Super Eagles Defender begins training with his new teammates

Newly acquired Nigeria's Super Eagles defender, Chidozie Awaziem has resumed school training with his new club and opened up on the reason he moved to Croatia to continue his football career.

HNK Hajduk Split on Tuesday announced the signing of the defender on loan from Boavista of Portugal.

During his unveiling, Awaziem said he decided to join the club because he loves the city of Zagreb and he can also help the club achieve their objectives.

"I know that Split is a beautiful city and that the fans are very passionate and that they love football. I also like football, so we are very similar in that. I came to Split to give my best and to fulfil our goals," he said

Meanwhile, Awaziem has resumed training with his team mates ahead of the new league season.
