Sunshine Stars beat Kwara United to sneak out of relegation zone

Sunshine Stars enjoyed a fine win over Kwara United as they continue to fight their way out of the relegation waters in the Nigeria Premier Football League on Saturday, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The first NPFL match day 27 fixtures match saw the Akure Gunners triumph 4-2 over the Harmony Boys at the Remo Stars Stadium, Ikenne.

An end to end encounter saw Ahmadu Liman put the home side ahead 11 minutes before Issa Gata brought back Kwara United to level terms in 22 minutes.

The away side turned things around through Wasiu Alalade on 5 minutes later.

However, it turned all square in Ikenne as Sunshine found a way back on 32 minutes.

Sunshine took the lead for the second time in this game through Ahmadu Liman in added time of first half.

The lead was increased at 47 minutes as Ahmadu Liman got his third of the game to make it 4-2.

The lead was sustained by the Akure side, who moved out of the relegation zone with the result.
