Sunderland AFC has announced the signing of Nigerian forward Ahmed Abdullahi, subject to international clearance, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
The 20-year-old joined the club on a four-year deal, with an option for an additional year, for an undisclosed fee from Belgian side KAA Gent.
Abdullahi impressed last season with Jong KAA Gent, scoring 21 goals in 28 appearances in the 1ste Nationale.
The Nigeria Under-20 international becomes the latest attacking addition to Sunderland's squad this summer, following the signings of Ian Poveda, Wilson Isidor, and Milan Aleksic.
The young striker's arrival bolsters Sunderland's attacking options, and his goal-scoring record suggests he will be a valuable asset to the team.
Once international clearance is obtained, Abdullahi will be eligible to make his debut for the club.
