Hearts of Oak striker Foovi Aguidi is refusing to give up on reaching the Group stage of the Confederation Cup despite losing 4-0 to Esperance on Sunday.

The Phobians will need a miracle to eliminate the Blood and Gold in the return to be played on 07 June in Accra.

Hearts will be seeking to draw inspiration from the "Miracle of EL WAK" in 1977 when they lost the first leg of the African Club championship quarter final 5-2 to Zambian side Mufulira Wanderers overturned the result with a 3-0 win.

Aguidi believes it is possible to scale over the hurdle.

"It is possible why not, its football. We can score five or six if we believe ourselves and we try and train," the Togolese striker told Joy Sports.

"They scored here but we too we need to score in Accra and we will. We only have to correct our mistakes and listen to our coach."
