Head Coach of the Black Stars Avram Grant says he has inked down new faces to be included in his team for this month’s international friendlies.

Avram Grant will carry on his quest to make Ghana a force to be reckoned with both on the African continent and the world stage after an impressive second place finish in the just ended Africa cup of nations in Equatorial Guinea.

The Stars will play for the first time since that painful defeat to the Elephants of Ivory Coast later this month and Grant says we should be on the look-out for some new faces.

“The door will be open always for new players but I think the players that you saw at the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) are the best for the upcoming years of the Black Stars.” Grant said this at a press briefing on Tuesday

The former Chelsea boss has been widely hailed for his side’s performance in Equatorial Guinea but will know more than anybody that he has not hit his target unless he delivers that elusive fifth AFCON trophy.

nice to read this; & also nice to read that the players we saw at the afcon are the best for the up coming years. this tells me that ghana is likely to depart away from the gate crushing of under 20 players into the blackstars. i don't even think it is neccessary to gate crush the meteors into the blackstars because in between the meteors and the blackstars there are some more matured players to consider. i recommend strongly that the coach take a look at yaw owusu of bt mazembe fame.
