Melbourne Victory have gelled quickly this season as they bid to defend their A-League championship, says coach Kevin Muscat.
Victory beat Western Sydney 4-0 at Marvel Stadium to reclaim second spot in the table, having the game effectively won by half-time thanks to goals from Keisuke Honda, Raul Baena and Kosta Barbarouses.
There was a lot of pleasing stuff, a lot of pleasing contributions, but collectively, as a group, I thought it was excellent.

It was a fourth consecutive win for Muscat's side, and he's delighted that he has a squad with plenty of depth.
Victory were forced to do without James Troisi, who was ill, and opted to omit Georg Niedermeier after he took a knock to the head in their previous match.
But they have a talented group who are all capable of doing a good job in the A-League, says Muscat, who saw one of his inclusions Baena net his first goal for the club.
"There are adjustments from the group and understanding in the group, we changed things a little bit structurally to give us a little bit more threat going forward based on the opposition and where space was, where we thought space would be created and there were some real big contributions," added the coach.
"The most pleasing thing, if it's possible, is that Nick comes into the team, Raul comes into the team and the understanding of what's required from them and the execution to contribute the way they did was very, very good for the team."
Muscat was delighted to see his team dominate Wanderers on the back of a six-day turnaround, saying: "There was a lot of pleasing stuff, a lot of pleasing contributions, but collectively, as a group, I thought it was excellent."
Melbourne Victory are 10/11 to win their next game against Adelaide United, who are 13/5 with the draw 11/4.
