According to reports from The Express yesterday evening, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur have been told they will have to pay £15million to sign Gent star Moses Simon.
The 20 year-old has been dubbed ‘the Nigerian Ronaldo’ due to his pace and trickery and played a pivotal role in Gent claiming their first ever Belgian Pro League title last season, bagging seven goals in 17 appearances.
That form has seen the 5 foo 6 winger ascend to the senior fold within the Nigeria set-up, having previously represented the U20s on four occasions. He now boasts two goals and six caps following his Super Eagles debut in March.
Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur were both linked with Simon before he signed for Ajax’s academy in 2013, subsequently joining Slovakian side AS Trencin before arriving at the Ghelamco Arena last summer, and The Express claim he’s on their radars once again.
Despite signing him for less than £1million just twelve months ago, however, the British newspaper believe the prodigious winger is now valued at around the £15million mark.
