Napoli must be more clinical in taking their chances – or risk throwing leads away in future games, says Luciano Spalletti.
The coach was speaking after the Azzurri beat Cagliari 2-0 courtesy of a goal in each half by Victor Osimhen and Lorenzo Insigne.
"I'm pleased with the win but we could have wrapped it up sooner,” the boss began after the final whistle.
“We got off to a good start with the early goal and we managed the game well but we needed to make our superiority count.
"You're never safe in situations like that because the oppostion can score at any time. We must be more careful in future because dangers lie in every match.
“We must keep on improving. We have plenty of room for omprovement and there's a long way to go. The players are aware of their potential but we have lots of well-equipped sides to contend with. We must keep working away with our heads down.”
