South African side Polokwane City will start the new season without Ghanaian striker Ransford Osei after deciding to axe the former Asante Kotoko attacker.
The former Ghana youth international was signed to boost the attacking options of the club but has been sacrificed as the club seeks to make changes to further boost their squad.
The striker did not return to the club for pre-season as he has been told his services are longer needed.
Polokwane have lost the services of Osei just six months after he joined the club.
There were high hopes when former Asante Kotoko striker Osei signed but his time in Limpopo was marred by injury.
The former Ghana youth international managed just three substitute appearances during his time with Polokwane.
