Slovakian side AS Trencin have signed two Nigerian players into their ranks after successful trials with the club.
Samuel Kalu and Maduka Christopher Udeh have penned two-year deals each with the club that also have Kingsley Madu and Rabiu Ibrahim in their ranks.
Kalu, a winger, says he is happy to have signed for the club and wants to do well like Moses Simon who played for Trencin a year ago.
“I am very glad I convinced the coaches. AS is a well run club. I hope that I will get an opportunity in the first team very soon,” he told astrencin.sk.
"I want to play well and help the team to get more victories. I play the same position like Moses Simon. He is a great player. I hope I will not disappoint the fans.”
Christopher Udeh who is a central defender wants to do well for AS Trencin and attract the attention of Nigerian national team selectors.
“I thank God for this opportunity. I also want to thank AS Trencin for giving me this chance. I feel very good here," he said.
“I have a lot to learn. I still want to learn. We have been welcomed well here and I believe with the quality in the team I will become a better player.
“If I do well here I’m sure Trencin will help me get into the national team.”
