Slavia Prague, the reigning Czech First League champions, have announced the signing of highly-rated Nigerian defender Samuel Isife from Dukla Prague, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The 21-year-old right-back has committed to the club on a long-term contract until December 31, 2029.

However, Isife will remain on loan at Dukla Prague until January 2026, when he will join Slavia Prague's squad.

Isife developed at 36 Lions Academy in Lagos before moving to Europe.

He began his professional career with Vlašim in the Czech Republic and established himself as a standout performer in the Chance Liga (Czech second tier) with Dukla Prague.

Slavia Prague has a reputation for developing young African talent, with Nigerian players like Peter Olayinka and Yira Sor having played for the club in the past.

The team is currently second in the league table, two points behind rivals Sparta Prague, having recorded five victories and two draws in seven matches.

Their next match is against MFK Karvina on Saturday.
