Fulham winger, Samuel Chukwueze will miss Saturday's Premier League match against Newcastle United due to a calf injury sustained while on international duty with Nigeria two weeks ago, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
The 26-year-old has been ruled out of the match at St James' Park, with manager Marco Silva confirming that Chukwueze is still recovering and has yet to regain full fitness.
Chukwueze, who joined Fulham from AC Milan in the summer, has made two league appearances for the Cottagers but was forced to sit out last weekend's 1-0 defeat to Arsenal due to the injury.
Silva revealed that Chukwueze's recovery is ongoing, and he is expected to return to training before the end of the month.
“Joachim Andersen, as we expected and as I mentioned after the match, has a muscle injury. It’s not so serious, but he is going to be out and not available for the Newcastle match, Antonee Robinson neither, as well. Chukwueze still out, Rodrigo out,” Silva was quoted by the club’s official website.
The Premier League match between Newcastle United and Fulham is scheduled for Saturday, October 25, 2025.
