Shooting Stars players to boycott Training Over Unpaid Salaries

Published on: 22 April 2016

Players of the Shooting Stars Sports Club say they are ready to stop turning up for games if their unpaid salaries are not sorted out.

According to the Complete Sports Nigeria website, the Oluyole Warriors players have not been paid for the past five months, and are now considering taking action.

"The situation at the club is pathetic as we have not received our salaries for the past five months," an unnamed player was quoted as saying.

"We experienced the same thing last season and it's unfortunate that we have been subjected to the same treatment again.

"We have managed to cope with the situation so far, but if the condition persists, then we will be forced to shun training and even boycott league games too."
