Shooting earn first win over Remo; Sporting home run continues as Rangers extend unbeaten run to eight

Shooting Stars of Ibadan on Sunday earned their first ever competitive win over Remo Stars thanks to a brace from Christian Pyagbara, reports Nigeriasoccernet.com.

Remo Stars have for years been a nightmare to their South West neighbours Shooting Stars but it was a different ball game on Sunday as the fully packed Lekan Salami Stadium Adamasingba witnessed an historical moment, where the Oluyole Warriors had their first competition win over the Sky Blues.

Christian Pyagbara brace (15', 78') did not only earn Shooting Stars their first win over Remo Stars but also moved them to 6th on the log, 2 points behind Remo Stars who are 5th and 6 points adrift of league leaders Lobi Stars.

Elsewhere, Fidelis Ilechukwu's Enugu Rangers are continue their fine run extending their unbeaten to eight games as they beat league leaders Lobi Stars 2-1

The win place them 2nd on the log, a point adrift Lobi Stars.

Sporting Lagos recorded their fifth consecutive home victories on Sunday beating Kwara United 2-0.

The Tech Boys have turned their run of winless games at home to victories as that propelled them to the 11 spot on the log.

Junior Osaghae bagged a brace in Benin on Sunday as Bendel Insurance hammered Doma United 4-0. Doma United defender Abiam recorded two own goals in the process.

Akwa United picked a valuable away point in Bauchi on Sunday as they held Gombe United to a 1-all draw.
