Rasheedat Ajibade has revealed that her friendship with Jennifer Echegini will help her settle well in France after joining PSG on a two year deal as a free agent, Nigeriasoccernet.com writes.
Both players recently represented Super Falcons of Nigeria at the recently concluded Women Africa Cup of Nations where Ajibade led the team as captain to an historic 10th title, a continental debut for Echegini who also played a pivotal role in the conquest.
Now both players will continue their bromance at club level, a relationship Ajibade admits will help her integration.
"Yes, I think it will play a very important role in my quick integration into the team, because when you join a teammate who you've played a lot with in the national team, someone who comes from the same country, it helps you integrate quickly with the rest of the players too.
"We know each other very well. I have the privilege of being the captain of our team, so I have to be in contact with everyone.
"That means I get to know each and every one of them. And Joe, I call her my sister because she's a unique person. She's an extraordinary and exceptional footballer, but also someone who is very pleasant to be around," she concluded.
