Several Clubs on Red Alert as Robert Snodgrass Rejects New Hull Contract

"?Hull City midfielder Robert Snodgrass is thought to have turned down the offer of a new contract at the KCOM Stadium, sparking further speculation that his immediate future will lie elsewhere.

According to Sky Sports, the Scotland international has rejected the chance to extend his current terms, due to expire at the end of the 2016/17 season, with several Premier League clubs said to be interested in the 29-year-old.

Should Hull fail to convince Snodgrass to change his mind, a cut-price January exit seems likely.

However, Snodgrass remains so vital to the Tigers' chances of avoiding relegation that keeping him until the end of the season, at which point he could leave for free, may be a risk that is deemed worth taking.

A report from the Daily Record has named Middlesbrough, West Ham and Sunderland among potential suitors, while Celtic have also been linked with a move.

But while the same report suggests that Snodgrass would be willing to take a significant pay cut to move to the reigning champions north of the border, the club themselves have no interest.

Another option is Championship club Aston Villa, who are also named as being interested.

Snodgrass has a pre-existing relationship with Steve Bruce having been initially taken to Hull by the new Villa boss back in 2014.

He has a good record in the second tier after returning from serious injury to help Hull earn promotion to the Premier League in 2016, as well as making his name at that level with Leeds.
