According to Calcio e Finanza, Serie A clubs are projected to earn a record €190m from shirt sponsorship deals only, a rise of €21m from the previous season.
Although revenues from TV rights are expected to decrease, sponsorship revenues are projected to boom in a season where Italian football has experienced the loss of one of its commercial stars – Cristiano Ronaldo.
Juventus are top earners with car manufacturing company Jeep as sponsors, followed by Inter, who exited their 26 year historic partnership with Pirelli.
The top five is completed by Fiorentina and Sassuolo in third and fourth place respectively with Mediacom and Mapei as sponsors. Roma is the fifth top earner with DigitalBits as the front sponsor.
