The Sassuolo transfer market gave surprises to the neroverdi fans. The Emilian club has strengthened the midfield above all with two targeted investments: Matheus Henrique from Gremio arrived and Abdou Harroui arrived.

The latter is a midfielder born in '98 who left Sparta Rotterdam, Eredivisie formation, to wear black-green. The deal was closed on loan with redemption for a total of 3.5 million euros. A new foreigner for the Emilian club.

It will be Mr. Dionisi who will now have to amalgamate the team with the new grafts. Harroui's is an important reinforcement, which comes, at least 'numerically', to replace Mehdi Bourabia, who was sold to Spezia.

Raised in the youth academy of Sparta Rotterdam, for Harroui the Dutch club represents more than just a team. The midfielder, in white and red since 2016, made his first team debut in 2018, gradually becoming one of Sparta's staples. In the last season 34 total appearances for him and 6 goals, for a player who enters Serie A with a good baggage of experience. In total he played 68 games scoring 11 goals.

"Harroui was already run-in, he played the first match, he showed his matchmaking qualities, he did quite well too" said coach Alessio Dionisi after the match against Cremonese, in a friendly match with Harroui who made the his debut with the Sassuolo shirt.
