Sassuolo CEO Giovanni Carnevali said Domenico Berardi will not leave the Neroverdi this summer. ‘We will not consider any negotiations’, he said to Corriere della Sera.
The Neroverdi let Manuel Locatelli leave for Juventus this summer and Berardi was another one of the Italy stars who has been linked with a farewell. But the CEO said he has no intentions of selling the forward. The former Juventus, who turned 27 on August 1, has a deal with Sasssuolo until June 2024.
The Azzurri winger started his career with the Neroverdi and was first sold to the Turin club in September 2013 but loaned back to Sassuolo. He then returned on a permanent move on July 15 and has never played for any other clubs.
