Sampdoria are reportedly opening talks with Torino for Tomas Rincon and Milan for Samu Castillejo, after missing out on Getafe bound Florentino.

The Blucerchiati had targeted a move for Befica’s 22-year-old defensive midfielder Florentino, but Sky Sport Italia reports the Portugal U21 international is set to join Getafe in La Liga.

Sampdoria are now moving their attention away from the Portuguese midfielder and have entered talks with Torino over a possible deal for Venezuela international Rincon.

The 33-year-old’s contract expires in June 2022, but the club has an option to extend for a further year with the player.

Rincon joined Torino from local rivals Juventus in August 2017, initially on a paid loan and then eventually signed a permanent deal the following year.

The broadcaster reports Sampdoria are also in talks with Milan over a possible transfer for Castillejo, who has also been linked with a return to Spain.

The 26-year-old winger has played 109 games since he arrived at the Rossoneri in August 2018, but the former Villarreal forward seems set to struggle for playing time at San Siro this term.
