Serie A: Osimhen fires blank as Udogie sees yellow

Published on: 01 September 2022

Victor Osimhen have now gone two games without a goal for Napoli after firing blank yet again as they were held to a 1-1 draw at home by Lecce, Nigeriasoccernet.com can report.

A subject of transfer speculations in recent days, Victor Osimhen seems not bordered by reports linking him to Manchester United which will involve Cristiano Ronaldo moving in the opposite direction with his fighting attitude and character on the pitch of play but the goals are not forth coming like they did in Napoli's first two games where he was on the score sheet.

Despite scoring first, Napoli were caught off guard by Lecce, a result which hampered their attempt to wrestle José Mourinho's AS Roma off the top of the league.

Meanwhile somewhere in Udine, Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Nigeria-eligible Destiny Udogie was cautioned by the referee for a punishable foul as Udinese pip Fiorentina by a lone goal.

Isaac Success made a second half appearance for Udinese in the game.
