Nikola Milenkovic is increasingly likely to stay at Fiorentina as Premier League clubs dawdle over their interest in the Serbian.

Tottenham, West Ham and Wolves have all been in talks to sign him but he is said have become frustrated at the lack of a breakthrough with any of them.

West Ham appeared closest but David Moyes is said to have decided not to pursue it further, while Spurs have also been mulling over a deal for Bologna’s Takehiro Tomiyasu.

Wolves are keen but wary of the financial costs involved – so Milenkovic is now considering a new contract with Fiorentina as the Serie A season gets underway this weekend.

His side travel to face ex-Spurs boss Jose Mourinho’s Roma on Friday night and Milenkovic is expected to start after playing 90 minutes in the Copa Italia round-one win over Cosenza.
