Sandro Tonali joined AC Milan last year on loan from Brescia. At that time he was one of the most promisin players in Serie A and he had already made the debut with the national team. His season was disappointing, playing in 37 games but with no goals or assists. He was basically Bennacer back-up. AC Milan had the right to buy but the amount fixed last year was considered too expensive by Maldini who, according to Gianluca Di Marzio, is negotiating a new deal with Brescia: Milan will pay the midfielder 10M euro plus 5M as bonus and Olzer, young talent who has already made his debut in Coppa Italia, will move to Brescia but Milan will keep the right to buy him back.
